General information about content and authors

  • The author of each blog post is noted at the top of the post.
  • There are regular bloggers (who publish posts approximately once every 1-2 weeks or more often), occasional bloggers (who publish posts about once every 1-2 months, with some variation), and guest bloggers (who publish one-off posts or post series).
  • Site content pages that are not blog posts (so they do not have a /blog/ in their URL) do not have explicit authorship. Most of them were authored and edited by one or more of the site administrators. Currently, the site administrators include Vipul Naik, Nathan Smith, John Lee, Paul Crider, and Chris Hendrix.
  • Content in block quotes is usually authored by other parties. The authors are typically cited right above the block quote. For books, the full title and author, and usually a link to a book website or Amazon purchase page is provided. For web writings and journal articles, the full title and author, as well as a link to the website, is provided. If you would like to report any corrections, such as broken links, misqoutation, incorrect references, or excessive quoting resulting in a possible copyright violation, please fill out our error report.
  • Embedded videos are usually created by other parties. In most cases, a citation and a link to the original website where the video appeared are provided. If a citation for the video is missing, then click on the video to “View on YouTube” and find out the name of the channel under which the video was added.

For more information see the basic information about blog posts and comments policy page.
